Choosing my colours

  • Nu Wa - Purple eyes and green scales, green leaves for the top and brown horns and black hair.

  • Zhu Rong - Dragon with tiger head and yellow tiger pattern with orange and blue green horns

  • Gong Gong - Dragon Black with red scales and blue eyes

  • Human figures - semi brown colour

I tried to go for contrasting colours throughout this project.

The reason for Nu Wa's colour is to show symbolic connections to what she does as a goddess. I chose purple to represent dragon and green scales and green leaves on her clothes to show creation, also her element is Earth which I have chosen for the horns and the black hair is to for the Chinese traditional look.

Zhu Rong is the God of fire and his element is fire so I have chosen orange for his body. Because his animal his tiger as well as dragon and also that I made the tiger pattern yellow to stay within the fire element. The blue horns is the connection to Gong gong's blue eyes. Both dragons are related, Zhu Rong the father and Gong Gong the son.

Gong Gong is known for the water god who is a black dragon with red which is why I made the scales red and also the blue eyes is the representation of him being the water god with the blue aura around him.
